My cultural holiday.

Discover the secrets of Bressanone.

“Those who find beautiful meanings in beautiful things are the cultivated.”

(Oscar Wilde)
I love nature and peace and quiet. But every now and then I also feel like visiting the city. You can easily do both in the episcopal town of Bressanone in Italy. In the narrow alleyways and the idyllic arcades, I can stroll without hurrying past fancy town houses, chic boutiques, lovely cafés and cultural sights. The latter awakes the culture lover in me. Bressanone is over 1,000 years old and is the oldest city in Tyrol.

Which also means it has numerous cultural treasures from many different eras. Gothic buildings, baroque churches and paintings from the Renaissance, I can admire them all in awe. This diversity. It also extends beyond the city. Out into the great outdoors. Out into the mountains. Out to where it draws me back after my visit to the city. When I want to return to the silence of the forest again.
